Dr. Darrell Burke |
Darrell Burke (Assistant Professor) earned his PhD in Health Services Organization and Research with a concentration in Information Systems from the Medical College of Virginia Campus of Virginia Commonwealth University. He was an information technology consultant and the Director of Systems and Procedures at St. Luke's Hospital/Mayo Clinic Florida from 1991 to 1998. Prior to that he was a Senior Management Engineer at University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY.
His teaching interests include information technology, information strategy and management, operations management, project management, and decision support systems. He is a member of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), the Academy of Management (AOM), and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
