3. Reports of Sub-Teams:
   --Doctoral Program Team team continued the process of revision of the Doctoral Guidelines. --The DPT decided to give flexibility to the chair of the APC to determine what constitutes a publishable paper. --Kim Thompson raised questions about Goal 1 of preliminary examination. --DPT further went on to discuss the nature of the preliminary examination. --The DPT made clear that the APC is responsible for administration of the preliminary examination. (criteria for grading, appeals process etc.) --DPT discussed revisions for selection of RSC. Restated that the chair must have doctoral directive status. Also, discussed the duties of the major professor. --DPT also discussed the responsibilities of the RSC. --McClure-suggested that student members of the DPT search through guidelines to highlight the specific responsibilities of Doctoral Students only, so that the DPT can comprise student checklist.
