    Decisions:

    Early promotion & tenure is subject to the same criteria as are regular (6th year) promotion & tenure. Attention may be called to the binders by the fact of their early submission. (Information from Linda Gross in Dean of Faculties office)

    Tom Hart will bring the School's Promotion & Tenure Document into line with current practice and with current university regulations.

    Discussion of scenario of one partner in a couple being place in position of evaluating another one; person would have to abstain (or 'be absent' from P&T committee) if such a situation should arise.

    Committee requested data on the average scores on SUSSAIs for past 3 years for graduate online courses, graduate face to face courses, and undergraduate face to face courses. Chuck McClure will talk to Susan about obtaining data.

    P&T committee will review binder presented by M. Gross during the week of Sept 23 per agreed upon schedule. It will then go to the Dean who will call a meeting of the tenured faculty. Both votes will be by secret ballot. P&T committee only will vote on promotion. P&T committee members will vote a second time as members of tenured faculty.
