  5. Besant Reported on the Status of Scholarship Sub-Team in reference to Scholarship Selection Process. Also raised question as to "How do we define financial need for scholarship selection process".

  7. Unfinished Business:
    Chavez-Hernandez reported that student survey will be ready on web by March 1,2002. Also, mentioned that approval from IRB is expected ASAP. March 15, ,2002 is the deadline for all students to complete survey. Copy of survey has been forwarded to the student services team and deans. Chavez-Hernandez talked about reccomendations suggested by Dean in regards to the survey. It was also suggested that we monitor response rate due to spring break. Committee members reported research results on "Scanning of the Environment". Fontaine----Discussed US News Top Ten Library Science and Information Studies graduate school student service practices. Thorp--Further Discussed Innovative Ideas of Student Services at Various other Schools Mark---Discussed The Student Services Environment Here at FSU and revealed research findings done by Houff Latham---- Discussed the emphasis of "ONE STOP SHOP" student services Chavez-Hernandez---Discussed the whole approach to the Campus Learning Environement. Besant---Discussed briefly about student services interviews.....

    Please forward names of students to Don Latham whom you feel deserve or should be reccomended for the Presidents Humanitarian Award. (Undergraduates Only) Feedback from Scholarship Subcommittee is needed ASAP, before next faculty meeting..
