CI helpdesk installs the following software on all CI faculty and staff PCs (for information on software available for Mac users, please contact CI helpdesk):

MSDNAA

Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance (MSDNAA) is a partnership between Microsoft and the College of Information to deliver free software to students faculty and staff.

Software available through MSDNAA includes:

MSDNAA Registration

To register for MSDNAA please email the CI Help Desk (help@ci.fsu.edu) the following information and state that you would like us to create an MSDNAA account for you.

  • Your full name
  • FSU email address
  • name and number of one LIS course for which you are currently enrolled

After we verify your status and setup your username we will send you instructions on how to complete the registration process.

Requirements To Download

You must be a factulty or staff member currently employed by the College of Information to be eligible to register.

Limitations on Downloading

You may not distribute software to other individuals under any circumstances.

Software available from MSDNAA must be activated online or by phone with a unique serial number, and only one copy of the software can be run by each MSDNAA account holder at a time.

You may continue to use the software you have downloaded from MSDNAA after you are no longer taking classes in the department, but you will not have access to the MSDNAA site at this time.
